Where every child has the opportunity… It is our goal to open our program to all persons without prejudice, bias, or preconception by any criteria. We welcome all children and parents and do not discriminate in any way.
To fly, jump, and venture… Our program is an active program for children to learn. Children learn in many ways and our program is designed to make learning fun and interesting to all children, from all walks of life, with different cultural backgrounds. We use a diverse curriculum with associated activities to meet each child’s developmental needs and eliminate barriers.
Into their best possible future…. Studies show that children who participate in a high-quality preschool have better outcomes, not only in their formative years in school, but as adults through college and into their future careers.
Through exploring their world and learning from nature… In addition to learning (from what happens to a ball when I touch it to beginning reading, writing, and math), our children learn how to interact with others without bias. They learn basic moral truths like honesty, integrity, and respect for all persons. We celebrate the cultures that are represented in our children as well as our staff and strive to be the best examples of the values we want to instill in our children.
Our students discover their passions in a safe and encouraging environment. Our staff is made up of a diverse group of people. This diversity is characterized by different languages (Spanish, English, Farsi, to name a few), races (African, African-American, Indian, Latino, White) and associated cultures, as well as ages and statures. This diversity is reflected in our student population with the same variety of characteristics and is also reflective of the local population. Our part of the village is diverse and inclusive to foster the best outcomes for all children.
At Launch Pad Learning, we understand that we are shaping the next generation of people who will be leading our world. Our unique program features include: extended care hours Monday through Friday from 6 am to 8 pm; large, sectioned play yards which give children plenty of room to run and play; a free monthly book for every child to encourage reading and parent-child relationships; most teachers have college degrees; we serve “home”-cooked meals in our facility kitchens; many bi-lingual+ staff members; and, we provide many staff benefits to attract and retain high quality teachers. Further, we partner with community organizations (i.e., Westside Infant-Family Network, police and fire departments, and the cities of Hawthorne and Long Beach) as well as our parents, staff, and the children to provide high quality care.
It is our fervent goal that all the children who attend our program experience and learn the core values of honesty, respect of all persons, and the value of every person’s worth, while we provide them with the basic foundational developmental opportunities, both academically and socio-emotionally, they will need to succeed throughout their whole lives.
